Allan Innman

Allan Innman is an American painter born in Oxford, Mississippi. A graduate in Graphic Design from the University of Mississippi in 2006 and with an MFA in Painting and Drawing from the University of Georgia Lamar Dodd School of Art in 2015, his work explores the world of fantasy and simulacrum through photorealistic representations of toys, figurines and collectible objects. His paintings summon the nostalgia of childhood with a technical precision that transforms mundane objects into portals toward memory and collective imagination. In 2017 he received a Visual Arts Fellowship from the Mississippi Arts Commission. His work has appeared in publications including Juxtapoz, Hi-Fructose and Booooooom, and he has exhibited in San Francisco, New York and galleries across the American Southeast.
